Preface to the English Edition:

Arutsakthi is proud to introduce all our Srividya Upasakas around the wold about our new book "Chidananda Lahari" in English. It Carries the philosophical import of Srin Devi Navavarana Puja. My Tamil Original "Chidananda Alai" was published way back in 2001 by the Srividya Temple Society, Rush (NewYork). We had thought of translating it to English to reach a larger audience. This philosophical text requires equal footing both in the language and the practice of Srividya Sadhana. So we were looking for the apt person for this task.

By the grace, the couple Smt. Padmalatha & Sri N.Ramakrishnan, (Sri Yogambal Sametha Sri Yogananda Nathar, Sri Poornahamsa Mandali). from Anna Nagar, Chennai has done this translation voluntarily with great effort. They are the disciples of Sri Narayanaswamy Iyer, who was the disciple of Sri "SRI" PujyaSri Chidananda Natha. They took it up and completed the same a few years ago. The translators have done a commendable job by putting their soul and heart on this. It so happened that we got the opportunity to publish it only now.

We are grateful to them for their effort. I feel that this is an approval from my beloved Guru Mandalam and exclusively my paramaguru who wrote Srividya Saparya Vasana, which served as an inspiration for me to write on this topic.

Sri J Kalyanasundaram (M/s. Markandeya Book Depot, Kumbakonam) readily agreed to print it as their first venture for publication. He has ensured that the printing and nice getup comes out well. My choicest blessing to him and best wishes for all his future endeavours!

Thanks goes to our favourite printer, COMPUPRINT, Gopalapuram Chennai for taking the printing work as neat and very good manner in a short span of time.

I hope that this English edition would be beneficial for all Srividya Upasakas across the globe.

Thank You all,
