Principles of Mathematical Analysis
Born in a Jewish family, Walter Rudin initially worked for the British Navy before pursuing his higher education. He received a bachelor's degree in arts and a PhD from the Duke University. Also, the University of Vienna gave Walter an honorary degree. He went on to become a great mathematician and professor. Walter worked at MIT, University of Rochester and University of Wisconsin-Madison. His areas of expertise and research interests included complex analysis as well as harmonic analysis in mathematics. Other books authored by Walter are Functional Analysis and Real and Complex Analysis.
